You don’t need to wait until Black Friday to score a good sale. And right now, there’s no better time to add a new vacuum to your shopping list—it happens to be one of our favorites.
We’ve tested dozens of vacuums this year, putting them up against real-world tasks like cleaning up pet hair and maneuvering around furniture and on stairs. There was one clear winner: The Shark Navigator Life-Away Deluxe is not only our favorite upright vacuum, but it’s even our absolute favorite vacuum overall out of all the ones we tested. The highly-rated vacuum has multi-surface suction to deep-clean carpet, while still being gentle enough to tackle dirt and debris on hardwood and tile. We’re so impressed that we would have no qualms about paying full price for the vacuum, but you don’t have to. Now, for a limited time, the Shark Navigator Lift-Away is 55 percent off on Amazon, marked down to just $100.

While stick vacuums and small handheld vacs have their place and duties, a full-size upright vacuum is the way to go when it comes to cleaning your whole home and large messes. In addition to its large capacity, we loved how easy it was to assemble and how quickly it picked up messes, cleaning hard floors and carpets in just one sweep. Its maneuverability is also outstanding, and our tester had no issues gliding the vacuum around furniture. The detachable pod lifts also away for easy cleaning in any area, whether you’re cleaning under furniture, on stairs, or in hard-to-reach corners. The Shark also comes with an upholstery tool and crevice tool for even deeper cleaning. And when all your cleaning is done, we found emptying the 0.9-quart dustbin to be a breeze; just pop it open and dump the debris into the trash can—no bags required. Plus, the filters are washable, so you don’t need to worry about buying replacements.Coming in at around 16 pounds, the vacuum is a bit on the heavier side, so we found it to be a bit awkward to get up and down stairs. And while we’d love an extra portable attachment to make cleaning stairs or taking the vacuum to different floors easier, the strong suction power, easy-to-use design, and large capacity bin supersede the few cons.

While we clearly love the vacuum, you don’t have to take just our word for it. The Shark is highly rated by Amazon shoppers as well, raking up more than 78,000 five-star reviews. It’s so popular that more than 20,000 shoppers have added it to their cart this month alone.Shoppers agree that the vacuum has great suction, cleans well on all surfaces, and some even say it makes vacuuming fun. One Amazon shopper who has owned and used many vacuums says the Shark Navigator is their favorite. “I am kind of rough on my vacuums. I have not had any belt problems or clogging,” they wrote in a five-star review. “It is easy to maneuver around and under furniture. Strong suction, works well on both carpet and bare floors.”
Another shopper says the vacuum is “like a power washer for my carpet,” writing, “One pass through my carpeted living room and dining room sucked up so much dust and dirt I couldn't decide between feeling horrified or amazed.”Shop the Shark Navigator Lift-Away Deluxe now while it’s just $100, or pick up a similar on-sale vacuum from Amazon below.
