Proscenic F10 Pro review: A game-changing 3-in-1 wet and dry vacuum

Proscenic F10 Pro Wet Dry Self-Cleaning Vacuum and Mop

Cleaning and organizing tend to go hand in hand, but I’ve always preferred the organizing side of things. I find true joy in keeping things tidy — I love an organized fridge, neatly folded laundry, and making sure every knickknack is in place on my shelves — but when it comes to more cleaning-heavy chores like vacuuming, dusting, doing the dishes, and scrubbing the shower, I just wish I could avoid them altogether. But as someone who lives alone, that simply is not possible.

And even though I don't love cleaning, I do my absolute best to keep my apartment as presentable as possible. Sometimes, though, life gets in the way and it feels easier to push those less-fun tasks off and save them for another day — I've found myself procrastinating on chores after traveling, anytime I get sick, and, probably most frequently, when I'm not doing great in the mental health department. When I'm not at my best, it just feels so hard to find the motivation to pull out a vacuum and commit to walking every inch of my apartment. But recently, I tried out a vacuum that completely changed the way I clean and approach chores: The Proscenic F10 Pro.

My one-bedroom apartment is far from big, but each room does feature a different type of flooring, which makes cleaning feel like even more of a chore than it already is. The kitchen, living room, and bathroom all have laminate flooring, while my bedroom and the little nook/closet off to the side of it are carpeted. I also added a rug on top of the carpet, which introduced yet another texture. In the three years I've lived in this apartment, I've just never figured out the best way to navigate keeping each spot, well, spotless.

Sure, the cordless stick vacuum I've had for years does a great job on the carpet and rug, but I always noticed specks of dust left behind on the laminate floors (even though it is technically designed to work on hard floors too). And yes, I realize I just said I don't love this kind of chore, but when I do clean, I clean hard. So, never seeing my living room floor truly sparkle after putting in significant effort has always been an annoyance.

Turns out, all I needed was a multi-purpose vacuum that's designed specifically for hard floors. That’s where the Prosenic F10 Pro 3-in-1 vacuum comes in. It's the most impressive smart vacuum that I've ever experienced. It's easy-to-use, a breeze to set up, and seriously powerful. Plus, it leaves my floors looking better than they have since the day I moved in to my apartment. The secret lies in how well this model combines vacuuming (the dry part of its wet/dry formulation) with mopping (unsurprisingly the wet part) and then adds self-cleaning (the third part of the puzzle) on top of it all.

But the best part of this handy wet/dry tool? It seems to lead me around my apartment itself, seeking out dust or unseen grime like a dog sniffing out something interesting on a long walk. It almost feels like this vacuum does all the grunt work for me. Once I turned it on, the Proscenic F10 Pro immediately went to work. I first tried it out in my little galley kitchen, but instead of using my own arm strength to push the vacuum, it found its own way under my cabinets with very little effort on my part.

If that sounds a little weird, don't worry, it's not at all once you get used to it. The vacuum doesn't jerk you around or make it feel like your arm is going to pop out of its socket, it simply uses its self-propulsion system to move you forward and lead you around the home — similar to how a robot vacuum leads itself around your space, seeking out messes.

Not having to worry about which corner to focus on next, or where I should move my vacuum — not to mention the novelty of having a vacuum I barely have to push — makes cleaning my floors so much easier, even when I'm in the midst of a depressive episode (and that's saying a lot). If any vacuum could get me to actually enjoy cleaning my floors, it's this one.

Getting the Proscenic F10 Pro up and running only took a matter of minutes. It did come unassembled, but there were only a few pieces that needed to be put into place to get the vacuum fully set up. The main body arrived as one piece, so all I had to do was add the handle, the clean water compartment, dirty water compartment, and set up the charging station. It also came with cleaning solution and a cleaning brush.

Adding the handle onto the vacuum truly took 10 seconds, all I had to do was push it down until it locked into place. Same with both water compartments, the set up couldn't have been easier.

The clean water compartment pops onto the back of the vacuum, while the dirty water compartment sits up front. Before using the vacuum, you'll need to fill up the 650ml clean water tank to the max fill line — which is clearly marked — and then the machine will let you know when it's time to refill that clean water or empty out the 500ml dirty water tank.

I will say, it did take me a minute to figure out where to actually plug the charger in to the vacuum at first, but that's probably on me, because I'm prone to putting things together without fully reading the instructions. Once I realized the port was on the side of the docking station, instead of on the vacuum itself, it all clicked into place. And the unit charged quickly and efficiently.

There's also a little spot on the left side of the charging port where you can keep the included cleaning brush — the brush comes in handy to keep more solid messes like dust, hair, fur, or dirt from clogging up your machine.

The Proscenic F10 Pro has an easy-to-read LED display that shows you exactly how charged up it is, what mode the vacuum is in, and if it needs any maintenance or fresh water. The vacuum has three modes: Smart Mode for everyday cleaning (this is the one I use the most), Max Mode for more intense stains, and Suction Mode, which absorbs spilled liquids.

Another feature to note is the vacuum's voice prompts. I have plenty of smart home gadgets — a voice activated trash can that I swear is haunted, several Google Homes, and my fair share of smart light bulbs — so I was surprised to say the least when I plugged the charger into the port for the first time and was immediately met with a voice that exclaimed the word "charging!" followed by this warning: "To avoid odor, please start the self-cleaning function." To be fair, at that point I hadn't even used the vacuum, so no self-cleaning was required, but after a few weeks of use, I genuinely appreciate the reminder. And the fact that this vacuum comes equipped with a self-cleaning mode at all.

If you're not into the idea of your vacuum talking to you, it is extremely easy to turn the voice prompts off. But hey, what's the harm in your household appliances letting you know when their batteries are running low, when you need to change their water, etc.

The Proscenic F10 can run for 30 minutes on a single charge, which might not sound like a lot, but trust me, the amount of cleaning this model can do in a short amount of time is seriously impressive. I've knocked out my living room, kitchen, and bathroom floors in just over 20 minutes. And the results look more like I spent hours polishing each and every inch of my home.

Proscenic F10 Pro's dirty water tank after a cleaning session

Once you're done cleaning, it's time to activate the self-cleaning mode, which only takes about a minute, before emptying out that dirty water tank. Let me tell you, I was not prepared for what I saw the first time I did this. What started as fresh water had quickly turned into something that looked a lot more like sludge. The water in the dirty water tank was dark, murky, but at the same time, kind of impressive? Seeing the actual evidence of what this vacuum cleaned up made me even more excited to keep using it. There's also a separate section in the dirty water tank that traps things like hair and dust and crumbs, so you'll want to remove and clean that before dumping the water into the toilet or down the drain.

I have few complaints about the Proscenic F10 Pro. It is slightly heavier than my old stick vacuum, but the self-propulsion makes it way easier to maneuver, so a little extra weight doesn't matter to me. This model cleans quickly, efficiently, and gives you the satisfaction of seeing exactly what it sucked up when you empty out the dirty water tank.

If you don't wear shoes around the house, just keep in mind that your floors will be a little damp after using this vacuum. So, if you're not a fan of wet socks, it might be time to invest in a pair of house slippers.
